Forests are vital to our future

Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, provide habitat to more than 80% of the world’s biodiversity, and supply billions of jobs. And yet, deforestation is a persistent problem, with 46% of the world’s forests destroyed.

To support reforestation efforts, we created Formstack Forests—a part of our Formstack4Good corporate social responsibility program. Through this initiative, our goal is to plant 3,750 trees in 2024. Our products help eliminate the need for paper, and we’re ready to double down on that impact.

Social Impact
From arborists and farmers to scientists and researchers, the job opportunities provided by the sustainable forestry industry are endless. Planting trees not only grows forests but helps grow job opportunities as well.
Awareness & Education
Small changes can have a big impact on the environment. By educating Formstack customers and partners about the important role trees play in nature, we can inspire people to take steps towards positive action.
Water Filtration
The intricate root systems of trees act like filters, removing pollutants and slowing down water’s absorption into the soil. Replenishing our world’s forests will improve the quality of our water supply and resources.

Where we’re planting

Amazon Rainforest
Planting trees in the Amazon Rainforest helps restore degraded land and support species like the Jaguar, Macaw, and Amazon River Dolphin.
British Columbia
Large swathes of British Columbia have been decimated by insect pests and diseases. Planting trees helps these areas recover and flourish.
California
Replenishing California’s forests reduces the risk of catastrophic fires and floods, improves water quality, and increases biodiversity.
U.S. Forest Service
Restoring trees in national forests helps support iconic wildlife, protect public land from wildfires, and improve soil and water quality.

Digitizing form, document, and signature workflows has helped customers save an estimated 470 million sheets of paper.
2.1 million+ ink cartridges
Removing paper from their processes helped customers eliminate the need for an estimated 2.1 million ink cartridges.
47,000+ trees
Our customers have helped save approximately 47,000 trees. That’s more than enough trees to cover New York City—twice!
5.2 million+ pounds of CO2
Workplaces that go paperless help to reduce deforestation and save an estimated 5.2 million pounds of CO2.
1.4 billion+ gallons of water
Water is needed to make paper. Paper-free workplaces lessen this impact by saving an estimated 1.4 billion gallons of water.
